Gambia 1938 1d Elephant with confetti flaw

A unique example of the 1938 1d Elephant definitive issued 1 April 1938 (SG151; Sc133) has surfaced with a stunning confetti flaw – a circular unprinted area – above King George VI’s portrait. The confetti flaw occurred when a piece of paper punched from the pre-printed sheet became stuck to the sheet, was printed over and subsequently fell off leaving the circular unprinted area. Discover further examples of confetti flaws here.
